ELECTRONICALLY DISPLAYED IMAGES (EDI) - 2010
In 2010 the EDI competition is integrated with the normal monthly competion and the Image of the Year competition.
ALL EDI ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA THE COPPERMINE GALLERY.
The RULES for the EDI competition for 2010 are set out below. (These rules should be read in conjunctin with the full set of club competition rules.)

The EDI section of the monthly competition has only one section that includes colour, monochrome, nature and altered reality.

In the Image of the Year competition there are three EDI sections - open, nature, and altered reality.

All images must be based on photographs taken by the member entering those images. The original photographs may be digital images or film images that have been scanned. It is permissible to have someone else scan your prints, negatives or slides if you do not have the equipment to do it yourself.

There are no restrictions on adjustments or alterations to images. Images may be cropped. Images may be composites (made up of several different original images) provided all images used in the composite were taken by the member entering the image.

For the EDI sections of monthly competitions the entries must be submitted no later than the competition night of the month prior to the competion (for example, by 20th January for the February competition.

All entires are to be submitted via the Coppermne gallery and they will be judged online.
- To make the judging equitable, all images must comply with the following requirements:

The maximum image size is 1024 pixels wide (horizontal) and 768 pix els high (vertical) when the image is viewed in its correct orientation.Please check these EXAMPLES so that you are sure you have your images the correct size.

The file format must be JPEG.

The maximum file size is 300 KB.

Images should be in the sRGB colour space.

The image files must be named as follows
xx - image name (Where xx is the Image Identification number emailed to you when you registered for Coppermine access, and "image name" is whatever you want to call your image.)
IMAGES THAT DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIRMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
PLEASE READ THE COPPERMINE INSTRUCTIONS AND CHECK YOUR IMAGES BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM.
The images that you upload to Coppermine must ber included on your entry form for the relevant monthly competition - they count towards your quota of SIX mages for the month.
