TPOTY
Challenging categories, great prizes, and new awards and support for young and emerging photographers
The 2010 international Travel Photographer of the Year awards (TPOTY) are now open for entry. Open to amateur and professional photographers from across the globe, TPOTY 2010 sees new categories, new sponsors and new judges, a great range of photographic and travel prizes, and a special focus on young and emerging talent.
“We are very excited about this year’s awards,” said TPOTY founder, Chris Coe. “The 2010 categories have been designed to challenge entrants’ creativity and to offer something for all levels of photographic experience. Whether you’ve only recently started taking images, or have been working as a pro photographer for many years, there will be a TPOTY category for you.

ShutterBug
What is Shutterbug…?
Shutterbug Photography Festival has fast become a must see event on the photographic calendar and a quality outlet for non-professional and emerging photographers from around Australia.
Entries for Shutterbug are taken from the 1st January - 30th May each year. The work is judged (please see our judges page) and finalists announced. The Shutterbug Photography Projection night is a huge VIP event held in Sydney sometime in July.
The vision behind the festival is to give talented photographers an opportunity to show off some of their work via this tough competition, with the submission requirement of 15-25 images in a theme designed to encourage excellence across a body of work rather than a single image.
This is also an opportunity for photography lovers and art supporters alike to be introduced to the work of gifted and emerging artists by way of the big screen at The Chauvel Cinema on the Shutterbug Festival night.
