Ken Rockwell

The KEN ROCKWELL site (KEN ROCKWELL) provides very comprehensive reviews of cameras and lenses (particularly Nikon and Canon). It is well worth a visit if you are considering buying some new equipment. [You cannot buy from the site - just read reviews.]

PhotoZone

The PHOTOZONE web site has very comprehensive reviews of a wide range of lenses to suit Nikon, Canon, Pentax and Sony cameras. It includes reviews of third party lenses from manufacturers such as Sigma, Tamron and Zeis. It is worth a look if you are considering buyng a new lens. The reviews that I have checked are generally consistent with those on the Ken Rockwell site, but the Photozone people take a quite different approach to evaluating lenses.

Luminous Landscape

The LUMINOUS LANDSCAPE site (LUMINOUS LANDSCAPE) provides very comprehensive information about landscape and nature photography using traditional as well as digital image processing techniques.

INTUTE

A useful tutorial on "How to use the Internet to help with digital photography" is available INTUTE.

Better Photographs

Lots of useful tips on improving your photography are available at www.better-photographs.com/photography-tutor.html.

PhotoTutor

If you liked the comments that Des Crawley made when he judged at our club in January you will love the PHOTOTUTOR site (www.phototutor.com.au/). Des Crawely and Michael Smyth are the main contributors. It has a “Getting Started” section for beginners and tutorials on more advanced topics. You can download an article “The Art of Seeing” by Des Crawley. The site is relatively new and you can expect many more tutorials to be added in the near future.

lynda.com

The Lynda.com (LYNDA) collection of tutorials is extensive and high quality. The introductory lessons in each tutorial can be viewed free. You can subscribe for periods of one month upwards at a reasonably low fee or you can purchased DVDs of the tutorials.

All images on this site and all documents and tutorials linked to this site are copyright.
