Photography experience:
I started photography at a very young age, using a Box Brownie. For several years, I studied photography at TAFE and I have participated on several Ken Duncan, David Oliver and Leo Meier workshops. My main interest was landscape, but this developed into portraits, when our twins came along. It amazed me how few people recorded their families. With Diane’s assistance, I have covered several weddings (as freebies). I have a healthy respect for anyone who photographs weddings for a living!
Main photographic interests:
Joining the Belmont 16 Footers Photographic Club was a great move. It has broadened my outlook. I still enjoy the panoramic landscapes and portraits, but I am now attempting to take a lot more wildlife and flora. Diane and I have travelled extensively around Australia and we enjoy recording this unique country.
Favourite photographic equipment:
My first great camera was a Praktica. This was followed by a series of SLR cameras including Olympus, Pentax and Canon. I am currently using a Digital Canon 30D, but my great love is the Hasselbladt panoramic camera. Computer equipment: Macintosh and Photoshop
