Roy Killen

Photography experience:

I started off with a Brownie box camera at about 10 years old. I bought my first 35mm camera in 1965, my first SLR in about 1978 (a Pentax "spotmatic"), my first digital camera in 1998 and my first digital SLR in 2002. In 2010 I started to expoeriment with a medium format camera.

Main photographic interests:

All forms of wildlife (from ants to elephants), grandchildren, macro and almost any other subject.

I enjoy judging and running workshops for photography clubs throughout NSW.

Some recent photographic achievements:

In 2010 I started entering international competitions (EDI only) and to date I have achieved over 800 acceptances and more than 120 awards, including 8 gold medals and 4 Best of Show in 26 different countries.

In 2011 I was awarded the AAPS honour by the Australian Photographic Society.

I run many of the monthly training sessions at the Club.
