Training and TutorialsThe club offers three forms of training for its members to help them develop their photographic techniques and their digital image processing skills: Monthly training nightsHeld on the 4th Wednesday night of each month at 7.00pm at the Belmont 16ft Sailing Club. There is no charge for these sessions but those attending are invited to make a small donation to help pay for club equipment. All club members are welcome. Come along and learn about photography and image processing. Click here to see the programme for 2010.
Web-based tutorialsThese are short tutorials that each focus on a specific aspect of digital image processing or photography. Most of these tutorials are designed to support the monthly training sessions. The tutorials are FREE but they are COPYRIGHTED. You can view a list of them here.
Informal discussion sessionsThis is a new idea for 2010. Starting in February, members are invited to meet at the club (in whichever upstairs room has been allocated - ask at reception) from 4-6pm on the afternoon of our competition night. Two main types of activities have been planned and these are shown on the programme for 2010. On several occasions throughout the year these sessions will involve the judge for the night discussing his/her own approach to photography. On other occasions they will involve club members sharing their ideas about photography. The programme for 2010 still has some room for other club members to contribute - if you would like to do so please contact Roy Killen. .
